Welcome to my blog... I actually registered this domain and had the idea to create this space over a year ago. This name actually came to me whilst my 10 year old son was in hospital having just been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes - it felt exactly like how I imagined juggling jelly would feel. All the information felt wobbly, jiggly and hard to keep hold of. Also during this hectic and life-changing time, we were also mid-way through preparing for a tribunal with our Local Authority to contest the placement and content of our son's EHC Plan (Educational Health Care Plan).

Life can feel pretty overwhelming when your child doesn't fit into the category of 'normal' (sorry hate that term - so in future I will use the term 'linear'). There is so much information out there, that it can feel like an overload. I am a mum who has been on quite a diverse journey for the last 12 years and I thought it might be useful to share a few bitesized chunks of my experiences and things that helped me along the way.

This site will follow demand, but mostly the areas that Juggling Jelly will cover:

Follow your instinct....something isn't quite right, but not knowing where to start...

Diagnosis and then support throughout

ADHD, SPD, Hypermobility, Dyslexia, Anxiety, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Type 1 Diabetes

Navigating SEN and working with the SENCO team

Restraint Collapse

Group support

Applying for an EHCP

Websites and Social

Self Care

Obviously there is a lot of content - so to make it easier for you to find what is relevant - I will release each post with a reference of the central condition it concerns.

I hope you find this a positive place and maybe some of the information will help or comfort. There may be swearing and this is advice based on my experience....please sign up for the weekly posts and comment or ask questions as you need.

I will do what I can to help or can hopefully point you in the right direction.

I am a Jelly Juggling Parent here to support other amazing Jelly Juggling parents!
